Rochester castle, cathedral & town
The first photo was taken by Jacob out of the sunroof as we drove over the Queen Elisabeth bridge. We thought it quite artistic considering he couldn't see what he was doing.
Rochester is an old town where Kings, Queens and travelers would stop before heading over to Europe. A few kings banished from England would have their last night on English shores in Rochester town. It was full of activity with lots of interesting architecture. It is home of two castles and an old cathedral dating back to 1080 AD.
Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of the cathedral as we spent a large part of our time watching the medieval pageant where they were showing life in the old days including knights dueling.
