Our first National Heritage visit ... Ham House
We now have a National Heritage card which means we can visit lots of historical places, walks, parks and houses. The first one we visited was Ham House in London. Built in the 1600s it was full of interesting furniture and artifacts that the owners had gathered over hundreds of years. It was interesting to visit the servants quarters below and view where they lived and prepared the food. We could imagine them dashing around the corridors to serve all the visiting dignitaries. One of our favourite places was the gardens so carefully groomed and cared for.
Take a careful look at the map of the world in the library, you will notice that New Zealand is missing.
