Pitzhanger Manor
On a lovely sunny autumn day we decided to visit Ealing, where Owen spent some time before we arrived. After some time in the park we visited Pitzhanger Manor. The Manor was originally built in 1768 by the architect George Dance. Later in about 1800 it was mostly demolished by another successful architect John Slone and redesigned to become the families country villa. Since then it has also been a library and now is an art gallery.
It was amazing how well his designs have captured the light from all angles. It has been restored as much as possible to the original condition.
